Product Labels plain and simple

The beauty aisle of almost any store is filled from top to bottom with containers of mysterious goops. There are so many products on the market it is hard to tell what does what. Some come in jars and others in bottles. They all have these fancy labels that promise magical results.

Well, how about we decode them a little bit, so you will know what is, or is not good for your hair.

Do you know how to tell if a product has a lot of water in it? Look at the label for the ingredients section. If the first ingredient is water, then you have a water-based product. If the first ingredient is an oil or butter, then you have an oil-based product. Ingredients are listed on the label in order of concentration. They go from most to least.

Some products have mostly great ingredients, while others have mostly water, fillers and chemicals that are toxic. Here is a simple chart to help you know some of the ingredients to look for.
